Mizoram's former Ranji Trophy cricket player passes away after passing out during a game.

K Lalremruata, a former Ranji Trophy cricket player from Mizoram, died on Wednesday, January 7, after collapsing during a local cricket match. Even though the state cricket association has canceled all of the planned matches in remembrance of him, his passing has shocked the Mizoram cricket community.

The regrettable incident happened during a Khaled Memorial 2nd Division Screening Tournament game between Chawnpui ILMOV CC and Venghnuai Raiders CC. During the match, Lalremruata, who was playing for Venghnuai Raiders CC, experienced an unexpected medical emergency.

He was taken care of right away and taken to the hospital for medical attention. Nevertheless, he died because medical professionals were unable to bring him back to life. For those who don't know, Lalremruata played cricket for Mizoram in two first-class and seven Twenty20 matches before winning the Ranji Trophy. Nevertheless, Lalremruata continued to participate actively in local cricket matches even after he finished playing for his state.Throughout his career, he scored 17 runs in first-class cricket and 87 in Twenty20 cricket as a wicketkeeper batter.

The Mizoram Cricket Association laments the significant loss.

The 38-year-old died from a stroke while competing in the second division tournament, according to an official statement from the Cricket Association of Mizoram (CAM). "He played for Mizoram seven times in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and twice in the Ranji Trophy. Additionally, he had played locally for a number of clubs. The statement said, "May God console his family as they deal with this significant loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with them."

K Lalremruata's passing was also lamented by Mizoram's Minister of Sports and Youth Services, Lalnghinglova Hmar.During the game between his team, the Venghnuai Raiders Cricket Club, and Chawnpui ILMOV Cricket Club, he had trouble breathing. During this trying time, my sincere condolences are extended to his grieving family, friends, and fellow athletes," he said.
